Okay, so…I jumped off the face of the earth for a while. My bad. I just don’t get on my laptop much if I’m not near a desk. Don’t know why, I just don’t. Anyway…I’m back at school so that will change.
Um…not much happening other than getting ready for sorority recruitment season! So excited. And, I think I want to try yoga. If for no other reason than, I have a dual screen set up and the room I’m in this year has a lot of room. So, going to find videos for free.

First, I need to find a job. Which I will do as soon as I get my resume in a good looking fashion.
I also need to spend less time playing video games and such. I should be reading and learning. Different skills or expanding my knowledge. All I can think of in my head right now is Rory Gilmore and how much she studied and soaked up knowledge. I want to do that. I should do that. And yet, so far all I’ve accomplished this summer is teaching myself halfway how to knit, reading one book (almost two), and walking/jogging two miles in 35 minutes. Well, and planning out crafts to make for if/when I get a Little. But like…seriously…
I need to embrace my inner Rory Gilmore.
But seriously…
Well, since I last posted I’ve gotten my hair cut. I don’t have a good picture yet of it but when I do, I’ll post it here. (I also keep forgetting to get my camera out of Ben’s car. Whoops.)
I also unpacked my room mostly yesterday. I still have a few totes and things that are in the garage that I need to bring upstairs and unpack as well as some things that have been unpacked but don’t have a home yet. But, it’s pretty awesome. Even found my external computer speakers and taped one to each side of my bed so I can plug my laptop in and have surround sound Awesome? Oh yes.
I’ve been learning a lot about Boy Scouts here recently seeing as how both of my cousins are part of the program. (Which, the more I learn about it, seems really awesome and if I ever have a boy (or multiple) I really want to put them through this (only if they want to, but..yeah.)) Anyway, my oldest cousin is actually interviewing to be an Eagle Scout tonight. Really hoping he gets it ‘cause he’s worked like crazy for it. If he does, there’s a ceremony and a reception type thing that we’ll have in July. The family puts on the reception part so I’m sure I’ll be helping my aunt out a lot with that. Which is fine by me because it sounds like fun plus that’ll be less stress on her if I’m around to help with things.
Already missing my Phi Mu sisters. I knew that I’d miss them but I didn’t realize how much or how soon that would happen. Good thing there’s texting, facebook, and maybe skype at some point. :)
So many adventures have already occurred since I’ve been home. Or, at least, I feel like they are adventures.
Friday: Ben actually woke me up when he called me after his final. Kinda glad he did otherwise I don’t know when I would’ve woken up. Had a nice lunch of Panda Express (did you know they have the paw plate now? I was a little weirded out at first.) Then we watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s for the first time. Wasn’t too bad of a movie. After all, Audrey Hepburn is basically flawless. Then…we went to PetSmart and I have a betta fish again!

He’s a blue/green/red dragonscale betta. I’ll put up a picture of him later. His name is Desmond. But, Ben has recently decided that he might want a fish as well and he was kind of attached to this one. So, there’s a chance that he might take this fish and I’ll get a different one which will still be named Desmond. (Yeah, Assassin’s Creed nerd. :P)
Saturday: Went up to good old Grass Creek, Indiana to hang out with my grandparents. Grandpa even took us around the property (he has 80 acres) in the golf cart. We even stopped by the cemetery where quite a few generations of family are buried. My grandparents already have their stone there even. Which, I’ll admit, was a little creepy. I know some people really don’t like being in cemeteries but honestly, I don’t always mind it. Especially if my own ancestors are buried there. Sure, I may have never known them, but these people came before me. They had a hand in how my life is today. And what I mean by that is like the things that I know, places I know, structures they built, living in Indiana, etc. I even learned yesterday that I’m Irish and English from my grandparents’ grandmothers. I only ever knew that I was Dutch, German, and French on that side. Never that I was Irish and English too. And how close it is to me. Idk. I’ve always found genealogy fascinating.
I took some pictures while I was up there so I’ll probably post those later as well. They’re on my cellphone so it’ll take a little while.
Summer is already shaping up quite nicely. Although, I still need to unpack.
Oh well. I’ll get to that soon. :)
I have a presentation over the website that I completely coded myself in about half an hour and after that I am home free! (Well, actually I have to wait until Ben gets off work to come and get the rest of my stuff and me). But then I’ll be HOME FREE!

It’s hard to believe I just finished my first semester as a junior. Like, I just recently wrapped my head around the fact that I was a junior (I kicked a bunch of ass the first few semesters and had a lot of advanced credit before I came to college) instead of a sophomore and now…geez.
Also, cool things, I was recently initiated into Ball State’s chapter of Gamma Sigma Alpha (for those that don’t know it’s a national academic honors society for members of sororities and fraternities.) It was such an honor and I’m super excited about it. So that was pretty cool. Here’s a picture of the charter members here:

Yeah, we’re pretty awesome. 2 of my sisters were initiated as well. (I’m in the front row with the pink skirt. One of my sisters is to my right and the other is holding the charter on the left side.) So yeah, sometimes cool things happen.
Well, I guess I should probably get my crap together so I can go present my website and then be done with this semester and stuff. Yeah…okay, going out into the light now.

^My reaction when I go out into the real world sometimes.

“HEY NERDFIGHTERS! (And anyone else who comes across this video.) I want to make a documentary about the Vlogbrothers, Nerdfighters, and Nerdfighteria for my senior honors thesis! But… I’m having a little trouble getting ahold of Hank and John. Please watch the video, and if you can, please promote this project! I want to work with all of you to make this an amazing film :)”
I’m going to be a cinematographer for this film, and I’d really appreciate your support!

So this week is supposed to be Hell Week. The week of figuring out all of your final projects and last minute homework assignments, but to be honest, I’m really not all that worried. I’ve already turned in two final projects, another one I’m almost done with. Actually, most of my projects just have minor tweaking before I’m finished with them. And instead of finals I have a regular exam and a quiz. Although, I also found out today that I have to give a presentation for my final website for a class on Thursday even though he never told us until now. …So much for leaving school on Wednesday night like I wanted. Oh well. Now I’m done at 2 on Thursday. I can handle that I suppose.
But guys…summer is almost here. :)

Guys, I’m going insane. She skypes her boyfriend EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT until like…1 or 2 in the morning. Which makes sense given then that she takes a nap every day so she can stay up and do that. But she voice chats with him which prevents me from going to bed. But what’s hilarious is that she keeps me up really late on the nights I’m here. But when I’m working, she’s in bed before I get home (even though I get home around the same time.) All I’ve wanted to do since 10 p.m. is go to bed but she WON’T SHUT UP!
Gifs to describe my thoughts:

(Probably what I looked like as I typed this.)

So as I was walking to class today I watched a guy on the sidewalk, next to a child and what I assume to be a wife or a girlfriend light up a cigarette. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind people who smoke. You want to smoke, go ahead. However, when I haven’t been around it in a really long time and I’m not “eased into it” (for example being in a smokey house before someone lights up. I’m a little used to it by that point) then I can end up setting my asthma off. Plus, he wasn’t in a smoking section (and there are designated ones on campus). And if I walked the way that I was walking, I would’ve walked right into the smoke cloud. So I instantly stopped. Maybe a little longer than I needed to but I was trying to assess if I should keep going or cross the street. Well, unfortunately, there wasn’t a place to walk because there were flower beds and stuff. So I ended up just staring at the guy without meaning to. We locked eyes and the next thing I knew he was stomping his cigarette out. He took one drag off of it. That’s it. I almost said, “Thanks” but I didn’t want to come off as super rude or anything like that. Like, I really have no problem with other people smoking but when I can’t avoid it because you’re smoking right where I’m walking, that’s a problem. If I can avoid it, open a window, move to a different room, be outside when someone is smoking, then I’m fine. Golden in fact. But don’t smoke where I’m walking.

And that’s the way it’s done, folks.
