Today was pretty uneventful. Went to my Comm 210 Lab (aka Speech Class) and talked about the syllabus. Also did the same in Intro to Music History 100.
Grabbed a really quick lunch in the dining hall. (I’m going to need to start figuring out food and such during the week. Especially Tuesdays ‘cause I don’t really have the chance to eat until 2, but my shift at the DN starts at 6. Not sure I want to eat really late, but…I don’t know yet.) Had fun reading my speech textbook *yawn.* At least it’s done though.
So excited for my shift tonight! I won’t end up being there until 6:30 because no one will be there for copy editing until 6:15. So…I have about two hours to kill.
I cracked up because Ben’s dad told me to “Go get ‘em, Lois Lane!” which is hilarious because Ben really really likes Superman. (Okay, I thought it was funny.)
Got to have dinner with the ladies from my bible study last year. (And hopefully many of them will be in my b*stud this year as well.) Plus, Woodworth was serving tacos. :)
Had a chance to curl up in my bed and read. Always a plus.
CLASSES START TOMORROW! I am beyond excited for this. And yes, scientists are baffled at this phenomenon.
And finally…Daily News Staff Meeting tonight! I’m actually going to leave in about 15 minutes for it, but I’m beyond excited to start this. I’m so excited to be part of the staff. I’m like…a part of something. Not only is it another thing to be involved with on campus, but I already know a few people in the organization. Plus, it’s great experience. Can’t wait for my first shift on Tuesday. :)
“Print will never die. There’s no substitute for the feel of an actual book. I adore physically turning pages, and being able to underline passages and not worrying about dropping them in the bath or running out of power. I also find print books objects of beauty.”— J.K. Rowling, Words with JAM magazine (via magicworks)

Don’t let anyone tell you what you are and are not capable of. It’s up to you to find your potential and follow your dreams. Too much bad exists out of our control and there’s no need to willingly contribute to it. Bullying is harmful and heartbreaking. I know this post is cheesy but I can’t stress enough the power of positivity.
The room that I have actually enables me to be even more of a hermit than I already was. If I stock up on food and don’t have class or anywhere to be then uh…I’d never have to leave my room. Reasons why:
If I have nowhere to be then…well, duh.
Fridge/microwave in my room. So I could cook food in here.
TV in my room
DVD Player in my room
Bathroom door is in my room as well as a sink. (I don’t even have to walk out of my room to go to the bathroom.
But seriously, my goal is NOT to be a hermit crab this year. At least, not all the time.
