June 2011
So, I love my job. True, I answer phones all day and deal with people which is normally something I wouldn’t enjoy whatsoever, but I’m actually enjoying it. (There are some super super weird people that call Pepsi.) Plus, if there is any damaged product (aka the box is broken or damaged but the product inside is still good) the employees can drink that for free. Yay free Mt. Dew!
I know I haven’t been on much. I swear, it’s like if I’m not at work I’m either with my boyfriend, reading, or playing Sims. Except for last night because I went to a Hillsong United concert.
Also, on the plus side of my job, there’s sometimes some downtime in between phone calls and such. Needless to say, I read. Thanks to this, I’ve read 5,000+ pages this summer. (I have basically walked into work with a book that I’m maybe 50-70 pages into and I’ll finish the entire 320 page book that day. (Which is what I did with Audrey, Wait! yesterday.)) So, this is majorly helping me accomplish reading for the library’s summer reading program. Yay.
Alright, well…there’s Sims to play and books to read. Maybe I’ll be on later.
I got the job! I start tomorrow. I’m SOOOOOOOO excited. I’m beyond excited. Ecstatic.

Guys, I might have my first job interview ever tomorrow. It’s a temp position starting on Thursday and going until August. I’m really really hoping to get it. It’s a receptionist job at a Pepsi company (which apparently if you’re employed by Pepsi it’s kind of like working for Hershey where you can drink their products while you’re at work. Guys…I love Mt. Dew. So needless to say if I get this, there will probably be a bottle per day consumed by yours truly as much as I’d like to deny it.) But I mean, receptionist I can totally do that. Filing, smiling, etc etc. Piece of cake. I’m the youngest person being interviewed tomorrow, but maybe they’ll hire me anyway. I mean, college kid looking for some money to help pay for school. The people I’m up against: teacher looking for a summer job, manager, and a high up secretary or something like that. Which…when you think about it that way I’m way underqualified, however considering the job…they might be OVERqualified. So maybe that’ll work out for me in the long run.
Wish me luck. I really REALLY want this job.
That’s right! The Cab are putting the final touches on their brand new album this week. The band has been working hard on Symphony Soldiers with producer John Feldmann, and everyone should expect to hear a new track sooner than later. It’s going to be a great year for the band!
